When I booked my scuba diving trip to Con Dao, I was picturing stunning coral reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But then I discovered something on the Amadive dive list: **A Shipwreck Dive**. My heart leaped. This was more than a standard reef dive; this was an exploration into history.

Honestly, I was a bit a little apprehensive. Diving a wreck is serious business. But the crew at **Amadive** was incredible. The PADI guides provided a very thorough safety briefing. We covered safety protocols, the story of the wreck, and what we would see. Being in such a small group immediately here made me feel confident.

Going down was unforgettable. At first, it's a shadow in the blue, then suddenly it appeared. It is huge. The ship is now a thriving artificial reef, draped in corals and teeming with fish. I spotted giant groupers peeking from the hull, and lionfish hiding in the superstructure. The feeling of gliding alongside this giant, silent structure is hard to describe—eerie, awe-inspiring, and humbling all at once. It truly is a piece of history on the seabed.

For any an Open Water diver (or higher) visiting Con Dao and seeking something beyond the usual reef dive, I cannot urge you this **dive** enough.
